Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of "Acto|Handwritten Planner" (the "App"), an iPad application provided by Matsu LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you ("User") agree to these Terms.
1. Application
- These Terms apply to all interactions between the User and us regarding the App.
- Any rules or guidelines we publish in-app or on the App Store form part of these Terms.
2. Getting Started
- You may begin using the App by downloading it from Apple's App Store and agreeing to these Terms.
- The User is responsible for any device, network, or Apple ID required to use the App, and for the associated costs.
3. Plans and Paid Features
- The App offers a Free plan and a paid Premium plan. The features available under each plan are as described in the App or on the landing page.
- Pricing, billing cycles, and payment methods for the Premium plan and for individual purchases (sticker packs, template packs, cover designs, etc.) follow Apple's App Store display.
- Premium subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled.
- Cancellation and refund procedures are handled by Apple (via the iPhone/iPad subscription settings or Apple Support). We do not process them directly.
4. Your Data
- Handwriting, text, and any other content you create in the App ("User Data") belongs to you.
- User Data is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud account. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- You are responsible for backing up your User Data. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for loss or corruption of User Data.
5. Prohibited Conduct
While using the App, you must not:
- Violate applicable laws or public order and morals
- Engage in conduct related to criminal activity
- Damage or interfere with the App's operation, servers, or networks
- Infringe on the rights or interests of other users or third parties
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or otherwise analyze the App
- Use unauthorized means to access paid features
- Resell, distribute, or commercially exploit the App without our prior consent
- Engage in any other conduct we deem inappropriate
6. Suspension and Changes to the App
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App without prior notice if:
- Maintenance or updates of the App are required
- Force majeure events (earthquake, lightning, fire, power outage, natural disaster, war, riot, etc.) make providing the App difficult
- Apple changes or discontinues services we depend on (App Store, iCloud, StoreKit, etc.)
- We otherwise determine that providing the App is no longer feasible
- Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
7. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights in the App and related content (including but not limited to programs, design, UI, templates, stickers, and cover designs) belong to us or to our licensors.
- You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or otherwise reuse content provided through the App without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimer
- We make no express or implied warranty that the App is free from defects (in safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, security, errors, bugs, infringement, etc.).
- Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for any damage arising from your use of the App.
- OCR results are not guaranteed to be accurate. You are responsible for verifying any important information.
9. Changes to These Terms
- We may revise these Terms at any time without prior notice.
- The revised Terms take effect when posted on this page. We will provide notice of material changes within the App or on our support page.
- Continued use of the App after a revision is deemed acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These Terms and your use of the App are governed by the laws of Japan.
- Any dispute arising from the App will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of first instance having jurisdiction over our principal office.
