The guide text and spot data are stored locally on your device. However, map tiles and Look Around imagery require an internet connection. We recommend downloading the area's maps in advance through Apple Maps.
The app uses an adaptive GPS system that adjusts accuracy based on your activity. When stationary, it uses minimal power. When walking, it activates efficiently. The geofence system is managed by iOS itself, which is very battery-friendly.
